Sunscreen raises the risk of Kidney and Liver disease?

The Daily Mail recently posted an article about how sunscreen is basically just a chemical concoction waiting to cause havoc in our bodies. For years I have tried to avoid putting on certain sunscreens due to this exact reason (and the terrible smell of chemicals). Whether you are sceptical or not, think logically and use common sense to chose the right UV protection that is best for you. Don't put it on if you don’t need it! Use wisely.

"Sunscreen leaches up to 360 times more toxic chemicals into the blood than the FDA allows, raising the risks for liver and kidney failure" - The Daily Mail.

Active ingredients in sunscreens can have neurotoxic effects with some even not tested at higher doses when applied multiply times to the skin. Opt to use blockers like clothing and zincs that don’t seep into the skin and cause damage. Mineral sunscreens and UV blockers (like zinc) are also reef safe, work immediately, are hypoallergenic and have broad spectrum protection. Steer clear of these chemicals that are linked to hormone disruption, allergies, reef destruction and even fertility issues; Oxybenzone, Oxtinoxate, Homosalate, Octocrylene.

Here are a few better options for you:

If you know any more or have a product you would like me to include, feel free to contact me. Taking care of your skin from inside and out is just as important! I created Wild Collagen Red for this reason and know that eating the right foods and incorporating collagen into my diet can help reduce skin damage, increase integrity and the regeneration of cells.

I have recently discovered that I am in need of collagen. I have torn ligaments all over the place…I am 76. I love the sound of yours and will purchase when I finish my bovine, , organic and grass fed. Regarding sunscreen, I think you might find that ecosonya is a good one. Australian made.
